When is the right time to get a builder involved?

Building a new home is the largest investment that most people will ever make.

 Many people don’t start looking for a builder until they’ve finalised their home design.  However, the best outcome will be achieved when your builder is selected early so that they can have active involvement in the process of land selection and design.

Depending on the type of home you want and the size, your builder can make expert recommendations on suitable block choices that will save you money in the long run.  If you have already purchased your block, then engage your builder early in the design process so they can help monitor and control the cost of your design.

Remember that custom homes are one of a kind and that your chosen builder will work to your budget.  While some builders may seem more or less expensive, the main cost differences are associated with the number of homes your builder is working on at any one time, and the quality of the materials that they are using.
